WYA Tour 2027
Welcome to WYA Tour 2027 – a year-long mahjong tour for everyone who wants to play, improve and have fun, wherever they are.

WYA (Wherever You Are) is a year-long MCR mahjong tour. The aim is more regular play, more games, and a competition that is fun to follow all year round.
WYA runs from 1 January to 31 December.
Each player plays:
* 2 games a month
* 24 games in total over the year
Entry fee
The entry fee is 100 SEK for the whole year.
The fee goes mainly into the prize pool.
Prizes
At the end of the year, prizes are awarded to the top three in the overall standings:
* 1st place: 50 % of the total entry fees
* 2nd place: 10 %
* 3rd place: 5 %
The winner also takes home the glory, the fame and a WYA trophy. 🏆
Challenge of the Month
Each month also has its own separate Challenge of the Month.
The challenge changes from month to month and is meant to add a little extra tension, humour and variety to the tour. It can be about anything that can be followed during the month's games.
The winner of the Challenge of the Month receives a small separate prize – and, of course, the glory. 😄
The challenge does not affect the overall standings.
Format
We play under MCR – Mahjong Competition Rules.
Games can be played:
* in person
* online
When playing online, the players at the table choose which platform to use.
In-person games are played over 1 hour 55 minutes under full MCR rules.
Scheduling your games
The players at each table are jointly responsible for finding a time and a place – or an online platform – that works for everyone.
The idea is that each month's games are played during that month, so the tour keeps moving and the standings stay up to date. Games may be played at other times, but preferably ahead of schedule rather than behind it 🤣
Please help each other out: reply to messages, suggest times and do your best to get your games played.
Results
All 24 games count towards the running WYA standings.
At the end of each month the standings are updated and a new Challenge of the Month is announced.
What WYA is about
WYA is not only about finding a winner.
The aim is to play more mahjong, keep the game going steadily, improve, keep competitive play alive all year, and build a community around MCR across cities and borders. Players of every nationality are welcome.
You do not need to be a top player to take part. What matters is that you enjoy playing, want to see all your games through, and help keep the atmosphere friendly and sporting.
